"I don’t know how other people define fashion victim, but this is how I see it.
Right now the punk scene is a victim of the cruel world of fashion.
Right now in the mass media if your not wearing a shirt with punk written all over it then your not trendy. Punk is not a trend. It’s who you are, and whatever you see on MTV isn’t punk... In no way am I punk, but when I flip though channels and see MTV use the Anarchy symbol for the A in Back to school it makes me want to break the TV. Of course punk isn’t the only victim to this, so is the Goth scene.
I once read in a magazine “10 ways to be Goth” , of course they mentioned the most bullshit ways ever and as always #1 was “wear all black,” even though that don’t make you Goth at all. I’ve also heard people say that they’re going through their “punk” or “Goth” phase. Sorry to burst your trendy ass bubble it’s not a phase. So there is my opinion like it or hate it I don’t care."
